Programs for Scholars
The RTB Scholar Community is home to some of the brightest minds in science-faith research. For those ready to go deeper, these programs offer a chance to contribute your expertise in ways that extend far beyond the classroom or lab.

Visiting Scholar Program
One of the highest honors in the RTB Scholar Community, our Visiting Scholar Program is a chance to work alongside our team, share your expertise, and make an eternal impact as a scholar-evangelist.

Fellows Program
RTB Fellows partner with our team for extended, contracted periods—conducting research, developing our creation model, and/or contributing their expertise in ways that go beyond a single visit.
Ready to Make a Difference?
Both programs begin with the first step: becoming a member of the RTB Scholar Community. If you’re a PhD-level scholar with a passion for science-faith apologetics, we’d love to have you.
Inside the Visiting Scholar Program
The RTB Scholar Community (SC) opens doors that few academic environments can, where your faith and expertise belong in the same room. Among them is the Visiting Scholar Program. Select SC members can apply to work alongside our staff scholars, bringing specialized expertise to questions our team can’t cover alone. The result: a stronger scientific model and sharper skills as a scholar-evangelist. Short-term projects. Eternal impact.

Research & Present Your Insights
You’ll have the unique opportunity to propose and execute short-term projects that impact the RTB model and broader society. Frequently present a topic of your choosing to RTB staff and within our online workshops—sharing your insights, inspiring others, and encouraging the entire community.
Personalized Scholar Mentorship
Consult directly with our scholars about areas of science-faith research that interest you. Our team is here to help mentor, brainstorm, disciple, and share in meaningful conversations as you grow in your role as a scholar-evangelist.

Fellows Program: Scholarship that Moves the Mission Forward
The Reasons to Believe Fellows program is an invitation-only opportunity for top-tier scholars to engage in groundbreaking initiatives that extend our testable creation model. Fellows work remotely on specific projects for contracted periods (typically between 3 and 12 months), contributing their expertise in ways that directly support RTB’s mission and extend the ministry’s reach.

Nomination Qualifications
RTB Fellows are among the most accomplished professionals in their fields. Nominees are evaluated across six key areas to ensure alignment with RTB’s mission, values, and academic standards.
Scholar Community Membership
Must hold a Scholar membership in the RTB Scholar Community. This ensures nominees are already familiar with RTB’s culture, collaborative standards, and expectations of those who represent the ministry.
Faith & Mission Alignment
Wholeheartedly embraces RTB’s mission and core values, a commitment visible to others inside and outside the faith. Dedication to historic Christian doctrine, old-earth creation, and RTB’s code of ethics is essential.
Professional Expertise
Completed postdoctoral research at an accredited university or corporation, with peer-reviewed publications and active outreach among colleagues. Interdisciplinary STEMM skills (synthesizing research across multiple disciplines) are a plus.
Scripture & Theology
Demonstrates deep scriptural knowledge grounded in sound systematic theology. Equipped to uphold the “two books” doctrine, connecting God’s world with God’s Word, confident that both will always be in harmony when rightly understood.
Apologetics & Outreach
Uses scientific evidence to demonstrate the Bible’s truth and trustworthiness. Modeling 1 Peter 3:15–16 (hopefulness, gentleness, and integrity) while engaging skeptics with a well-reasoned defense of the gospel.
Communication & Vision
Communicates clearly and compellingly in both written and spoken form across diverse audiences. A fellow brings a defined vision for their unique contribution to RTB’s mission and interacts winsomely with RTB staff, donors, and volunteers.
Benefits of Being a Fellow
Being named an RTB Fellow is a rare distinction—one that opens doors for meaningful scholarship, expanded influence, and lasting contribution where science and the gospel go hand in hand.
